LLMD prescribed three weeks of Cipro, but it came back so he put me on a bunch of herbs. I later simplified the herbs by taking Humaworm because it does work against citrobacter.
It also took a lot of replenishing the good bacteria with probiotics and fermented foods. Just killing the bad stuff isn't enough, you have to fill the gut with the good stuff or the bad stuff will just take over again.
My test did not show parasites, but I had them.

Yes, you're correct about the good bacteria. I'm working on that like crazy. I use VSL#3 & s. boulardii..I also eat fermented foods.
My doctor put me on 3 wks of a fairly low dose of Mino..he said that should help the citrobacter.
What were your symptoms of citrobacter? Do you have any idea? It's hard to distunguish when a lot is going on at once.
I was assuming that some of my stomach issues were due to candida, but perhaps not entirely. I know they may also be bartonella. Who knows.
My LLMD treats for parasites, and we've done some treatment for that already, but not all of it. I know tests are not reliable at all for parasites (and so does he).
