Just came back from a mini vacation and ate very little of what I usually eat. I ate no daily Greek yogurt or cottage cheese. I noticed I did not pee alot or need to get up at night time during my trip. I read to avoid yogurt/milk when dealing with IC. I am upset as I've already given up my daily consumption of oranges, grapes, green tea, dark chocolate, ketchup and tomato sauce because of IC. I need the calcium and protein from the Greek yogurt and cottage cheese. Is anyone else affected by yogurt or cottage cheese comsumption with their IC?

Right. At least when my IC was bad, I could not eat yogurt. It has to do with the neurotransmitters .. the pain is amplified. Same thing with bananas. Not sure about other dairy.... maybe if you leave off the yogurt you will see if you can get away with the other dairy. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

No pain with the Greek yogurt, just frequency. I've been consuming it for gut health, protein and calcium. It is a filling healthy snack.

I would go by what works for YOU. Watch the sugar content. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

I eat Stonyfield Farm Organic Greek plain that seems to have the least amount of sugar I can find in a plain yogurt. Thanks for your help as always:)
