I took Avelox for a couple weeks, switched from Factive because it was covered on my ins RX plan and was far cheaper for me. It was hard on my stomach and gave me terrible reflux. I ended up switching back to Factive and payed out of pocket for it. If you tolerate Avelox well, stick with it for awhile and it should help you. It is in the same class as Levaquin and Factive. Avelox can be taken with Malarone.
