At my last llmd appointment the doc asked me if I experienced any Charlie-horse pain. I didn't think much of it then.

But lately I've been getting the awful pains (in my leg- calf). So what's the relationship between this pain and Lyme disease? Why does this happen?

Bullsye rash: 1994, tx w/ ABT,
Symptomatic:1999
Hospitalization: 2004
Equivocol results (specialy lab) resulting in chronic use of ABT, herbs, etc ever since.
Severity of symptoms continue to worsen intermittingly.

There can be many reasons why a doctor would ask that. Hard to say. Before I knew I had lyme, I ate a banana (potassium) everyday for calf pain.

My legs hurt on occasion and I have lyme, bart and babs.

when I am on anti-malarials like mepron or coartem i have noticed that the calves will cramp up more than I would expect.

Take magnesium for cramps

Lou's right, Magnesium, but not mag oxide, mag citrate, malate, glycinate, better absorption.
