Many people on here mostly suffer from pain due to lyme. I feel like my Lyme is different, I have no symptoms of pain what so ever. I just feel like I'm going crazy (literally), disconnected, HORRIBLE Brain Fog, lightheaded, drunk-feeling, derealization. This scares me alot, I'm worried that I'm going to end up in a mental hospital..

I just want to know what more can I ask my LLMD to put me on. I am on Doxy 200 mg bid and about to add Plaquenil 100mg bid in a week.

MANY here have NO PAIN. You are not unusual at all. Have you been tested for bartonella?? How long have you been ill?

It is good you have no pain but you have probably inflammation of your brain and this gives you this horrible feeling.

Leli, I have the same feeling of going crazy and cry all the time.. I didn't have pain but man it has found me.. headaches, and body aches to the bone but that is not as bad as the what I call my weird head feeling. It is terrible and so far nothing is working.

I just thought I am giving up but its like I can't live but afraid to die.. Sorry to be negative.

I would say it is inflammation of the brain. Cause if my sinuses act up it is so much worse. I hate this disease ..

Prayers for you.. I am sure if you have a good doctor in time you will feel better. For now I have no doctor..

Lymetoo, I have been feeling symptoms since May 30th 2011.. I was diagnosed mid august 2011 positive from Igenex. I go back to my LLMD to talk about test results and treatments. I just dont know what to do untill that.. I feel like I'm losing it.. On the little research I have been doing I think I definitly have Bartonella... Can I do anything on the side to relieve theses symptoms?

So you just began treatment this month? Some patients are instructed to stop the meds BRIEFLY if they herx too hard. That is what I did...but make sure it is OK with your doctor.

I don't know if this is the same as my experience was, but I'll just throw it out there in case it might help you.

There was a period in my early treatment when I had some of your symptoms. (I had the brain fog even before treatment, so I don't know if that counts.) I felt detached, like I was watching myself; unreal; and became so depressed I scared myself.

I called my doctor and she had me back off on my treatment. I reduced the amount of antibiotics, and pulsed. Also, very important was to DETOX.
Please talk to your doctor about this possibility. I remember my doctor said that it's not good to push the intensity of treatment, that it's OK to back down when called for.

Take care. Let us know how you're doing.

I felt like this before treatment though... I haven't felt a change or an intensity in symptoms.

I didn't have any pain....my symptoms started march 2011 with fever then very bad vertigo and a dazed dreamlike state that has never gone away.

My vision went bluury about a month later, then my mind went. I would cry uncontrolably and the anxiety was really bad.

I couldn't think straight, couldn't get words out right, stuttering, I would mix up letters when i wrote, my thoughts would race....i felt like i was losing my mind. People thought i was on drugs and said i seemed "off", but i wasn't taking anything at all.

I told my friend i felt like i was going schizophrenic and going to have alzeimer's. I would have days where i felt like i was gonna forget who i was.

I even talked to my mom about crisis centers but she said they'd just drug me up. A couple days later i found a homeopathic doctor and he put me on lots of vitamins before i knew it was lyme. Cod liver oil, b-2, p-5-p, c, e, magnesium, inositol, b-12.

It helped a lot....I've been on doxy for 5 weeks and i'm better but my short term memory is still bad and i still have vertigo 24/7, and things still seem hazy....but i feel like myself again. I had no personality before...I was like a zombie.
