Any one have experience with IV Rifampin taken with Nystatin, Actigal and Mepron?
I've read all of the precautions and threads concerning, but would really like to hear some personal experiences with the above. We are to begin this protocal this week for my daughter. We are to also pulse Flagyl.
Need some insights. Thanks.

Rifampin may decrease the blood concentration of Mepron. It says exact mechanism is unknown but it may be due to enzyme inducing effects (in the liver).
Rifampin actually interacts with many drugs, increasing of decreasing their concentrations. Our doctors are well aware of this.
When I took Rifampin and Mepron we were trying to treat Bartonella symptoms while keeping Babesia in check. It may not have been an ideal combo according to the drug interactions checker but it was something that we needed to try at that time.

Were you on Zithro at the same time? It was my understanding that it was necessary in conjucntion with Mepron to combat drug resistance... or not necessary due to the Rifampin?
Thanks again.

You are right, I took it with Biaxin which is similar to Zithromax.
