I finally got tested at Igenex. It came back with 6 positive bands on the IGG and 2 inderminate on IGM. My primary physcian says this means I was exposed to it in the past but is not the cause of my current symptoms. Unfortunately, my llmd is so far away that I can't go to her for treatment, and even if I could my insurance wouldn't cover it.
Any suggestions?

"Some patients have both IgG and IgM blots positive. But if either the IgG or IgM blot is positive, overall it is a positive result.

Response to antibiotics is the same if either is positive, or both. Some antibodies against the borrelia are given more significance if they are IgG versus IgM, or vice versa."

I wonder if you can find an llmd that is willing to treat you with your positive result over the phone? You could find a primary care that would write a letter of reccomendation of treatment, one who at least somewhat believes in your positive test, to see an llmd. That is how my insurance is covering my treatment. I feel like im getting away with something but they have covered almost everything i am very lucky.
