Does anyone else believe they got Lyme from mosquitos?

My wife was just diagnosed. She was bitten by a large mosquito in our house that I subsequently killed that had a large amount of blood in it. I have had Lyme for 4 years and she was not affected until now.

I saw this study on the NIH website.

I also did not have the same symptoms as my husband. I got a severe pain in my neck and a dizzy spell. I do not have the same bacteria my husband has. I just got back from a doctor who blamed my natural body defenses.

Is it on;y me, did everyones' joint paint start as painful to the touch? Your body defenses do not react to painful to the touch.

Yes, you can get lyme and coinfections from mosquitos. Three in my family were just reinfected this summer from mosquitos.

Yes, I believe so. I also think you can get it from lice, fleas, probably spiders, too.

Search the web..I remember reading that the bacteria has been isolated from mosquitos.

Babesia can be transmitted by mosquitos. Your symptoms sound like Babesia. It is a piroplasm, like Malaria.

If such is the case, that we can get it from all these critters, then is any repellent that's known to be a tick repellent also good against all bugs?

Yes, my son had an oval rash on his thigh, with several mosquito bites in it. That was eleven years ago. It took 6 YEARS to finally get a diagnosis of Lyme, Babesiosis and Bartonellosis.
