Topic: Really bad toe pain (all 10 toes) is this lyme or bart?

I am on IV Rocephin and Rifampin.
My toes feel like they have migranes. Kind of like if you stuck your feet into the Atlantic Ocean in the middle of winter (or summer - water is still too cold then, haha!) and your toes just ACHE from the cold temp.
I know I should not whine about somthing miniscule like toes but somehow they are making more noise than my daily neck pain and other symptoms!
I did add in Serrapeptase this week (started on Sunday) so not sure if that is stirring up stuff as my dr said it is a biofilm buster. My hands have been bad too.

Are you sure you don't have gout? It might be worth looking into. But it's just a wild guess, so hopefully someone will give a more intelligent answer.

Well my toes are not really swollen. So would that rule out gout?

Did the pain begin after you started the Serrapeptase? If so, it may be part of a herx. What are you doing for liver support?
You could slow down the antibiotics, and see if the pain subsides. Or increase liver support supplements.
If you were not on antibiotics, I would suggest looking into B vitamins and B12, as the pain might be neuropathy.

Sore soles are a hallmark of bart, but I also had some toe pain, although not in all of my toes at one time like you describe.
It could be herx or bart. The best combo for me was tindamax (which has received some great press lately as being the most effective abx for all forms of LD) and cipro for my bart. My feet stopped hurting after just a couple of weeks on this combo.
Also, you could check your shins and calves to see if you have any trigger points or knots that may be contributing to your toe pain. Just my 2 cents.

Your hands too? Sounds herxy to me. I got this crazy type of pain too - often when I added in Diflucan for a while. IMHO - the bugs go to the farthest points they can to hide from the meds, and they die off, leaving you a nice pile of toxins in your digits.

I did get this pain right a day or so after adding in Serrapeptase this week. Now I have had toe and hand pain before here and there before throughout my treatment but nothing really this intense. When I mentioned some joint symptoms my LLMD then said we should add in Serrapeptase now.
I think this is a herx.
I am taking Source Naturals Liver Support which has milk thistle and some other stuff as well as NAC.
Also taking charcoal and clay everyday this week so hopefully that is drawing as much toxins out of the colon.
I was doing Methylcobalyn B12 shots 10mg 3 x a week for a few months but have now stopped as my B12 counts are back to normal.

Yeah interestingly I have these "tender" points on the area above the ankle on the inner sides of both legs. It's very sore to the touch- only when you touch it though. I have had that for many months now.
My LLMD says that I have water retention in my ankles and cannot figure out what could be causing it. But every appt he mentions that I have it. I'm like WHY?? haha. He says Salt/C protocol would not be good for me, too much water retention already. Meanwhile I am a very petite girl, thin all over so I never thought my ankles had water weight but oh well. I guess they are not super bony there like some people's ankles are. But I do not have cankles!
The middle of the soles of my feet have a dull ache for awhile too. Worse at night but present all day. It doesn't hurt too much to walk barefeet though. So I never thought it was Bart. My feet are a lot stiffer in the mornings than any other time of the day though.

I am doing Byron White A-Bart and get extreme toe, feet etc and more when herxing. Not fun.
