I can't believe I'm actually happy about this as I hate getting sick and having a cold.

But, since coming down with lyme & co in late 2009 I really haven't had a cold at all. This is even with having 2 small children in daycare who always seem to have a cold during winter. My wife would get them constantly for the past 2 years. My kids would get them constantly. But I wouldn't get anything. Or if I did get something, it was just a mild sniffle for a day or two.

Well...last night the post-nasal sore throat / runny nose started. Today...throat is very sore in the classic cold sense. Nose is runny and I'm sneezing.

It isn't terrible, but is a bit of a nuisance.

Still...I'm actually a bit thankful that I have a cold as I believe this means my immune system could be starting to work again.

I know your feeling.Same with me when I had a fever and my immune was trying to fight the reactivation while fever stopped since in 2002 and Lyme and co-infections were activated.I was happy to have a fever.

Yes...I am treating it as good news, even though I don't feel good today (due to cold symptoms, not due to lyme & co.)

Wait is this really a good sign??? I got a cold too now, well a sore thoart that led into a runny nose then a sinus infection for the first time in 2 1/2 years since being diagnosed in 2009 and pretty much being on abx most of the time.

I know my CD 57 levels are still low, but does the cold mean my immune system is really starting to kick back into normal?

I am getting over a 6 day cold that had me bed ridden. It was awful, first fever in 2 years also. So who ever said this was a good thing? I don't get it still.

I to have had a sorethroat/cold symptoms as friends are all sick and after they visited me,
i hear "Oh, Yeah I am sick with a cold" Thanks.
little fever, like 12 hrs..
I can't believe that getting sicker is better.?
Telling people that I am taking meds that make me sicker dosn't set well with them...

Woo hoo. I've had 3 in the last few months. None for 2 years before that. It sucks but it's good both.
