I have a hard time staying asleep once I am asleep.
Its not hard for me to fall asleep..but I usually wake up around 245 and I am up till the time I go to work.
My LLMD thinks its babs..
Thoughts?

I have the same problem! Soooo frustrating! I'm sure it relates to either babesia or bart.

Lymetoo is right. You might want to change your diet (candida free).

When I had lyme, babs and bart, my lyme doc told me that lyme affects the sleep center of the brain. That is the source of all of the sleep problems as far as I know.

Bart gives you wicked insomnia. When I was treating bart I woke up almost every night around 2 and could not go back to sleep for three hours. Funny, as that is when your body produces endorphins. I guess bart was determined I would not have any "feel good" hormones :0(
When my babesia came out I could sleep anytime anywhere - I was so tired! But as soon as I started treatment the insomnia began to return. Mepron has that as a side effect.
Now I am taking LDN and my insomnia is worse. Perhaps it is causing a bart herx. I hope that is all it is and I am not one of those people that never get over the inability to sleep while using it.
The LLMD gave me Seroquil to minimize the effects of Mepron. I didn't take it for months but finally relented when I started Bactrim DS which also causes insomnia.
Seroquil is so strong that one quarter of a 25 mg pill will knock me out. When I first started and took half a pill, I literally was slurring my speech the next morning. The LDN seems to make my requirement more so I might have to take half.
Before seroquil I controlled my sleep disturbance with the herb Corydallis. It is in Zhang's Herbsom. I used it for two years with good results but it does not work any more and makes my eyes swell now. That is what happens to me with all the natural supplements.
