Can chlorophyll cause a yeast die-off? I took some (first time for this brand) and about 30 min later I got a vice-grip type headache.

It's chlorophyll and alfalfa powder.

Maybe. But I don't think the chlorophyll is directly killing yeast, more likely it is cleaning out debris and junk - so maybe the headache is a detox reaction instead? I don't know...

I wonder if getting chlorophyll that does not have alfalfa would matter? Alfalfa is known to be bad for those with Lupus. Nettles is an alternative source of chlorophyll that is safe for those with Lupus, so maybe just getting some nettle leaf powder would work?

I started taking that too but I have about 2 weeks into it. I firmly believe it is doing something, it's funny you spoke of a headache because I never get them and just started with one shortly before coming on computer. What brand are you using. I read a wonderful article about the ALIVE vitamin/supplements and they have chlorophyll in them as well along with other essential minerals. Lyme tu tu: I thought you were rid of yeast. I have done so much research on this subject that it could take up to 3 years to cure on severe cases but the normal is usually about 3 months. Now, as sick as I am/was, I have been told by 2 doctors that eating "good carbohydrates" are beneficial especially for someone like me who is 94lbs and very weak. Those whole grain foods, oatmeal, brown rice, and fruit are so important in my recovery. So, of course staying away from sugar and white flour products but I still keep myself at a "low" carb diet. I have watched my bursitis in elbow fluid dry completely up and fungus under 6 nails (and lifted) are healed and natural color came back with nail adhered back to skin. I was a mess. Apparently, I had a moderated case of Candida prior to treatment for Lyme disease. The doctor knew it too and never gave me anything to cure it before treatment or with treatment of lyme. So it just got worse. The die off of yeast was worst then a herx from Lyme. I still take many other supplements for yeast like grapefruit seed extract and Caprilyc Acid along with olive leaf. I don't want to use too much as I would like to come off of these products eventually. That is my question, Lyme tu tu is when are we free of this? I mean, I will always watch what I eat but taking supplements for a yeast that is under control. I don't want to live on them forever. I may stay on apple cider vinegar as there are many benefits on that one but it is a great yeast killer! I just never want to go through that again, that was the worst 4 months of my life. I refused to take another antibiotic again so what do you take Samento and Banderol?? Do they help with Bartonella too?

Detoxing could be it. I used to take the liquid chlorophyll and don't remember any headaches from it!

kerry.. I had a stupid GI dr that messed me up and for awhile I didn't realize I was actually dealing with yeast. I've been taking Diflucan for quite a few months now.

Keeps it in check, but doesn't cure it! Supplements just mess up my stomach. (olive leaf, etc)

Kerry, apple cider vinegar kills yeast (I didn't know that)? How much do you take?

Chlorella is so green due to high amount of chlorophyll.

I do believe that chlorella in high amounts HELPS killing candida, as I took chlorella for many years now.

Whether it is the chlorophyll from chlorella or the chlorella itself killing, I don't know though.

I guess I should make a test with spirulina and check. It is also high in chlorophyll...
