Started getting some Flu like symptoms 3 days ago. Put my Tx on hold b/c of this and low grade fever, chest congestion, coughing up secretions, etc.

Well today, I woke up like I treated real real hard as in a Herx. Seems like my immune system reacted to the Flu stuff and possibly caused a major die off.

Is this possible that my immune system kicked in b/c of the Flu and took some Lyme & Co. with it ?

Below, my right eye drooping right out of bed and then again 2 hrs later. I only get this with a major Herx, again, my treatment is on hold x 2 days now, so no way possible this is from anything else. I'm stumped !

I don't know about flu induced herx... but I know the last time I got the flu it bought back ALL my symptoms like I was relapsing!! Oh the pain was unbearable I wanted to kill myself. I literally sat there crying asking my husband to let me die! I was like that for 3 days!!

I think anything that triggers your immune system to fight you will inadvertantly kill lyme and co.
Kind of like that Dr. that used to give his lyme patients malaria and let the infection rage and then treat the malaria and they were lyme free.

Many abtracts out there about people getting a really bad infection and thier cancer would go away. I think in the 50's they did experiments with giving people malaria and to treat cancer. The problem was 50% got better and 50% died from the infection so they abandoned it.

I've had a similar experience to scorpiogirl. I was so miserable and in so much pain. But I was also a little relieved. For so many years I would never get much of a fever or feel a huge immune response if I caught the flu. It seemed like the flu would just retreat back into me after a very low grade fever, rather than getting fought off. This time I felt like I won the battle with the flu and knocked out a large bacterial load at the same time, causing a terrible herx.
