Repetitive speech, stuttering, loss of memory, or getting lost. I recently had an episode while driving with my kids(7 & 13)in the car. We were coming home from a friends house about a mile from home I could not remember how to get home. I had to pull over. I didn't recognize my surroundings I stated repeating myself & stuttering.

My 13 y/o helped me try to focus because he has dealt with this a few times before. But this was the first time this happened while driving. We found our way home eventually. When I got home I was slurring my speech & still stuttering. After taking some binders & sleeping. I eventually got better.

Like I said I have had this happen before not knowing where I was or who my Lover, or kids were. But not to this degree in few years. I ahve been on The Lyme & Co roller coaster for a lot of years now.

I started doing the Buhner Protocol within the last month so I am Neuro Herxing big time, obviously. So I will stop my rambling & get to the point. I know that this happens with Brain inflammation. But I heard from a few people that this might be a type of Focal seizure. Does anybody know if this info is true?

Thanks & Blessings,
Yemaya

Very common. Don't panic. Unfortunately, best is to get used to it, and don't get too upset. It is a common symptom. So many times I got lost in the ways I knew so well, my way home or to the same supermarket I knew so well....

Many people with neurolyme have that. Just keep calm, and wait. The memory may come, or you can get help from other people. I pulled the car off the road sometimes, waiting to see if some flash could tell me where to go.

Many times, I forgot where I was going (like, am I going shopping, or to school, or home?). When I remembered that I went shopping, I went for it (if I could remember the way), then realized I had forgotten my wallet home... It was so disappointing.

somehow I got used and even never got mad at myself. I drove back, got my wallet and started again. But I won't tell you all details, but it was hard to leave the house, as I kept forgetting either the house key, then the car key...

Today I'm sure I had forgotten to wear my glasses to drive, but I even didn't realize that!!! [lol]

When I had neurolyme, I always felt I was a public danger. Driving is extremely dangerous as you can cause an accident. I did, my only accident until today, more than 25 years driving.

It is extremely tiring to drive, it requires a lot of energy, reflex, attention. People with neurolyme have difficulties with concentration, memory, attention and lack energy. So it is better to avoid driving as much as possible. At least, that was my view.

Whatever this is, it is common in neurolyme. Try taking binders, as Buhner proposes very little on that sense. When inflammation will go better, and toxins are all cleaned from die off, things will improve!!

About talking, I think almost everyone has problems. Words simply vanish from your head, you keep searching and there is only blank. No worry, they will come back when you get better!!!

Don't you have problems reading? I could read all words and understand words separately, but the article made no sense to me, no matter how many times I read it. Specially in the newspaper.

The only good side was that, as my brain was so off, that I didn't think at that time that all that mattered a lot.

You are still well enough to be worried!! Just keep treating!!

Reading this just made me feel great! I have been having this happen to me and I was told that I was Manic and Bi-polar. I have now been on Lyme meds for 8 weeks. Glad I am not the only one with WEIRD symptoms. I was told that these "episodes" were not lyme and that lyme did not do that.

Yemaya,
I wonder if this might have been a TIA?

Transient ischemic attack (TIA)

Transient ischemic attacks usually last a few minutes.
Most signs and symptoms disappear within an hour.

The signs and symptoms of TIA resemble those found early in a stroke and may include:

Sudden weakness, numbness or paralysis in your face, arm or leg, typically on one side of your body

Slurred or garbled speech or difficulty understanding others

Sudden blindness in one or both eyes or double vision
Dizziness, loss of balance or coordination

You may have more than one TIA, and the recurrent signs and symptoms may be similar or different depending on which area of the brain is involved.
If signs and symptoms last longer than 24 hours or cause lasting brain damage, it's considered a stroke.

Hi Hopeful, When killing Lyme and coinfections we can have many horrible, crazy symptoms.

If people r saying you r Bipolar or Manic, you could have KPU Pyrroluria. Many of us do.

Dr Klinghardt says 80% of Lymies have it. I was high positive on the urine test

Do a search here about it,and lots of info on www.betterhealthguy.com
