Doctor gave me a prescription for 1000 mg x 14 days. Pharmacy said it was a compound. Compound pharmacy says buy over the counter Pin-X.

Pin-X ingredients are below. I am confused because ( ) says equivalent to 250 mg pyrantel base. So am I getting 720.5 mg per tablet or only 250 mg?

Pyrantel pamoate ..................................720.5 mg
(equivalent to 250 mg pyrantel base)

Anyone else able to get this at a regular pharmacy?

Where did you find the Pin-X, RZR?

Looks like 1 & 1/2 tabs would give you 1080 mg.

My daughter did prescription pyrantel pamoate chewables. You can get them over the counter as well but since her llmd sent a script they filled it.

Not sure what the over the counter strength is

You can get Pin-X in all drugstores. You can get them at Amazon and many online drugstores.

Been used to treat pin worms forever.
