I have no idea if this could have anything to do with Lyme, but both of my eyes are red and bloodshot? They started to bother me at the beginning of the week and I thought it was my contacts, but I put in new ones and it continued.

Today they look horrible and the entire whites of the eye are red and bloodshot. I put in new contacts again but they are still red and feel kind of dry?

Anyone have any insight?

babesia does this with me, perhaps lyme can too, i don't know. monitor pain and light sensitivity, tho, because that could be uviitis (also caused by lyme).

My son had this alot at the beginning of his treatment, looked like pinkeye.

I think it went on for a few months on and off.

He also had slight light sensitivity.

i've often looked in the mirror and found one eye that was almost black it was so bloodshot. funny tho, it was half of the eye, not the whole eye.

i feel like i should apply for a dracula movie or something.

and showers are really bad for me. the water irritates my eyes and i look bad for hours.

doc just said it was my eyes not the lyme. uh huh...

I had very similar problems with my eyes. I think it was a lyme symptom.

Thank you everyone! They are now scratchy and feel like I have sand in them so I am worried it is pink eye, lovely, like Lyme itself isn't enough to deal with [Smile]

I get the same feeling. My eyes get very bloodshot and feel like there is sand in them. I get this every few days. One day I wok eup and my left eye was incredibly itchy. when I looked in the morror it was blood red. Not pink, red. Pretty nasty. Some have said drinking Mangosteen helps.
