I started taking Biaxin in late July. I kept noticing that activity made me sweat like crazy. Mostly my head/face, neck and chest, but a little bit everywhere. I took several weeks off from treatment because a switch to Ceftin made me ill. I just started Doxy a few days ago. I'm having sweating issues again. I originally thought it was a side effect of the Biaxin, but now I doubt that.
So why am I sweating??

Where are you in Ohio?
My son sweats like a pig because of deregulation of his autonomic nervous system. He has a form of dysautonomia called POTS.
My sister is a big time sweater since Lyme. She doesn't have POTS but obviously cannot regulate her body's thermostat.

Things are never dull. After 3 fighting Lyme, 2 are in remission. Youngest is still sick, age 22. He has new diagnosed Chiari Malformation and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

babesia is another infection that is VERY common among Lyme patients. Sweating is a MAJOR symptom of Babesia. Do you get night sweats as well?

Babesia causes sweating. Do you feel extremely hot when it happens? Bartonella can cause a sticky sweat. In some areas babesia is more prevalent than borellia.

What's a sticky sweat? I keep reading that Bart does the "sticky" but how do you tell the difference?

I do get night sweats too. I'm not sure what is meant by "sticky" sweat, but i'm a vet tech and have been bit by many cats & treated for bart twice over the last decade and half.
All my coinfections came back neg from Igenex though. How often are there false negatives?

VERY often. Many will tell you that it is rare, but it is not. Treat Babesia. Get a doc that will treat on clinical diagnosis.

Do you get dizzy? short of breath, easily fatigued. Chills, hot cold flashes, to name only a very few....

Hmmmm.... dizzy is one of my frequent symptoms. I'll try to remember to ask my doc next month.

Dizzy or Tipsy?

My husband is treating babesia and tipsy is one of his main symptoms. He isn't dizzy - the room is not spinning, but he feels tipsy, like he could fall over, unbalanced.

yes... me too. It is babesia
IT'S BABESIA!!!!!! start treating ASAP. If your doc won't, then find one who will. You won't get well until you address coinfections

Never a spin. Kind of a drifting feeling. Balance is horible too, when it gets real bad I feel like someone is pulling me to the left or from behind.

I too started sweating at night. Now it has become more consistent. This AM I woke up with 97.3 body temp and shirt half with sweat.

How can this be? Cold but sweating. I think it is Bart too.
I have had the burning feet and lower legs and sometimes the arms.

Head and neck pressures and ringing in the ear too.

This evening I soaked in a hot water bath for fifteen min and clocked my body temp at 102. It quickly dropped to 101.9 and then in a few back to 98.6. I have not been at that temp for a while and it feels goooood. Man did I feel dizzy and faint after the soak though.

I get facial flushing and sweating. It's very embarressing and makes other people uncomfortable because it looks like I'm extremely nervous while talking to them.

I'm prone to blushing anyway but nothing as bad as this.
