HI all,

some of you may remember me from years ago wehn i had chronic lyme..yes, I am in remission and feeling well after years of abx therapy, accumpuncture and herbs.

I am looking for some medical research data articles that state that people who have had or do have lyme disease, chronic or not, should not receive the flu vaccine due to it possible causing the lyme to reflare up.

I work as a dod civilian employee at a naval base, and have been mandated to get the flu vaccine, which i do nhot want to do. I've been told that if i do not provide medical research based articles that show IT COULD REACtive lyme, then I am forced to get the vaccine or be fired.

I do not want to get the vaccine, and of course don't want to be fired. I am hoping someone knows of some articles that discuss this in full, even if they only say there is a 'chance' it could reactive the dormant lyme disease, bartonella or babesiosis again.

If anyone has knowledge of such articles and can post the links for me to download and print, you'd be saving my job...

oh, and you guys may remember me as LILY....!

thanks for anything you can do to help me.
LILY

How about taking the religious exemption? And/or a letter from your doctor.

Do WHATEVER you can to avoid the shot. Nothing would be worth a relapse.

Good luck!

I was speaking with a LLMD neurologist on Friday (as it concerns our daughter) and his comment is the vacinne while stimulating the immune response for a specific antibody in some cases can stimulate an overall autoimmune response.

I think this is what we see in many Lyme cases but its just speculation.

"allergic" would work... and the religious exemption

Go to www.mercola.com and see if he has articles to support his dislike of vaccines.

I like the information on the following site:

http://www.publichealthalert.org/Articles/AndreaCandee/Should%20I%20Take%20the%20Flu%20Vaccine.htm

Quote from site:
"Knowledge Makes For an Informed Decision

Flu vaccines contain:

*inactivated (killed) influenza viruses prepared from the embryonic fluid of the chick eggs in which they are grown (people with egg allergy must avoid flu vaccinations)

* antibiotics such as Neomycin and Streptomycin (be aware of allergies to antibiotics)

* preservatives such as formaldehyde, a known carcinogen; chemical disinfectants; Thimerosal, a mercury derivative thought to affect the central nervous system; aluminum (added to promote antibody response); ethylene glycol (anti-freeze)"
