Been struggling with stomach burning and hurting again.
I noticed new detox supps LLMD put me on had Dandelion Root in two of them. I remember taking dandelion caps last year and having major stomach issues.
Anyone else here unable to take dandelion root? Why would it cause stomach problems?
I just don't know how I will convince my new LLMD that I can't take the supps.

How strong is it? For me personally I find Dandelion root to be super strong very difficult to tolerate! I have tried on many occasions to add to my juice and each time it killed my stomach. I use the leaves to juice so not the pills. It might be just too strong of a detox for you. Try cutting back and if that doesn't help then you will have to try other stuff.
I like cilantro (never tried liquid or pills) but I will eat/juice them almost daily. I love cilantro!! If something hurts you have to stop and try something else! Your body is giving you feedback so listen to it!
You don't have to convince him/her of anything other than stating the fact that these pills are hurting your stomach.! We are built differently so not all people can tolerate all supplements. If that was the case then treating Lyme would be a piece of cake! And I wouldn't have enough supplements/drugs that I had only tried once or twice to open my own pharmacy!

I use Sundown Milk Thistle Xtra, with added Dandelion, Fennel and Licorice as part of my daily suppliment regime. When stomach is upset I add in Ginger Root.
I just switch probiotics from Allegy Research GI Flora, with standard dose around 12 billion count, which I had recently up'ed my dose to 10 caps a day to attach diarrehea most like triggered when I added Augmentin a month ago. Just started VSL#3 today.

I found that If I'm not on 200 billion probiotics per day, then the antibiotics make me feel horrible, particularly stomach. I took prescription prilosec with my levoquin and it really helped.

Sorry to digress.

Augmentin also triggers diarrhea with me. I had to give it up. I have been taking VSL#3 DS for over a year at 450 billion twice daily.

RZR,
Yes, the diarrhea is most likely from the Augmentin (maybe more from the Clav portion of the mix). Only been on it for five weeks. Then two weeks after starting Augmentin I swopped out Mepron (after 5 months) and started Rifampin. So I've had a lot of changes going on at a staggered pace to keep all the bugs on the defence.
Saw my LLMD last week and she wrote me a script to replace Augmentin with Doxy. I had just re-filled ther Augmentin it so I'll tough it out another week then switch.
The new mix will be Zith-Rifampin-Doxy. Then start IV Rosephin later this month. Now if that doesn't kill me....
