yes, if it comes back positive, then it's from Lyme.
Maybe the EBV virus for example?

The Epitope test is confirmatory, but if neg. does NOT mean you Don't have Lyme...
You can have a flaming pos. WB and the Epitope still be neg...

I,too, had a negative epitope test,but am igenex positive on Igm for Lyme. Plus I had a lyme rash. I didn't even need to do the epitope test but my doctor was enocuraging it. The llmd doc i just saw called Igenex and discussed the confusion created by the epitope test for some.
