Hi, this is my first post, so please forgive me if I'm asking things that are located elsewhere on this site...
Does anyone know if there are practitioners in the US or Canada who use the Bionic 880?
I read that Dr. W. in Germany no longer uses the Bionic 880. Anyone know why he stopped, and what device he's currently using? Is it available for purchase to bring home with you?
Has anyone been treated by the other German practitioner referenced in the ILDT book?
I've noticed that many of the posts about Bionic 880 are from 2009 and earlier, not many this year or last. Any thoughts on why that is? Is it still considered a worthwhile treatment option?
Thank you all so much for your help! I'm been trying to research this and read old threads, and I'm more than a little overwhelmed right now!

No

He and HB had a falling out. Also, I think Dr. W wanted a slightly different frequency. People are still bringing home Bionic 880's or buying PE1's.

I think there's only one other photon practitioner in Germany and I'm not sure who that is. I remember someone mentioning it.

Probably because many were skeptical of whether those of us who went in 2009 would stay well. And because those of us who went and posted were literally raked over the coals. It's amazing any of us stayed with the abuse we had to put up with.
People started talking about photon therapy again when 17 Hens came back recently and started posting about it.

There are actually 40+ German physicians who use the Bionic to treat borrelia.
To see the list, go to the Bionic website http://www.biophoton.de/english.html and see the white box on the left. Click on "List of Borreliosis Therapists."

Six, I didn't realize that you guys had been treated so poorly for posting about your experience...I'm so sorry about that! In hindsight, do you still think it was worth the trip?
17hens, did you see Dr. W. recently? How did it go? What device is he using now that he's not using the Bionic 880?
Thanks in advance for any more info you can provide!

Yeah, we were. I had to "prove" I was really sick when I went because people said I wasn't. I was ridiculed. Etc. It was bad. But I knew it was worth it to keep posting. Many of those people got banned, not necessarily from that, but because they were so antagonistic on the board.
I really don't think I would be fully in remission, cured, whatever you want to call it, without the Bionic 880. No way. I was prepared for maintenance abx my whole like and never being fully functional. I had Lyme for over 30 years, did okay managing it, then got bitten again and became disabled.
Now, I am a pilates instructor ... I teach two days a week for one studio and am just starting my own. I also just started additional training where I apprentice 25 hours per week. Some of it is watching, but at least 2 hours per day ends up being exercising (the apprentices practice on each other). Also, we have four 18 hour weekends once per month. We spend the vast majority of those weekends practicing, which means working out. I kept up with my 23 year old daughter in the training. There is no way I ever thought I'd be capable of this. I just bring this up to stress what level of health I've achieved. And I'm 48.
I do think the pilates was part of what helped me achieve total health, but it was the Bionic 880 that got me strong enough to beat the borrelia and coinfections. Pilates gets blood flow to all the body, getting rid of areas that are stagnated (think stagnant pond), so the body can detoxify.
So yes, I'd still be sick if I hadn't gone, totally worth the trip. I also went from spending $25,000 per year on treating my Lyme Disease to spending NOTHING on it.

Wow, six, your story is so inspirational! Thanks so much for sharing...
I have been sick for over 15 years now, on and off abx for over 9 yrs, and have almost given up hope of finding my way back to the person I used to be... I'm really beginning to feel that photon therapy is something I must try, so hearing your story gives me hope.
And I totally agree with you about Pilates! In 2009, I had a period of feeling a whole lot better (not really "remission" but better) that lasted about six months, and during that time, I started doing Pilates as well. I absolutely loved it!
And the whole time I was doing it, I could tell how it really was helping my body -- like you said, getting the blood flowing to areas that had been stagnant for years. The "mind-body" part of Pilates also really connected with me, and I swear I was thinking more clearly as a result of it!
Sadly, as always, however, my symptoms returned during the holidays, and I started on a crash that basically I haven't gotten out of since. Pilates is now a distant memory, as I can barely get out of bed.
But...I'm still trying and really hope one day to get back to it. I miss it! Congratulations on becoming an instructor - that is such an achievement!
Thanks again...

Six,
NOTHING has changed you know. I was ridiculed and attacked by LO2 today for my talk about going to Germany. But it doesn't matter to me what others think. I will do whatever it takes to get well.
Here is his reply to my disagreeing with him.

Yeah...you like to complicate things, right? Are you cured, are you helthy now with your complicated things vison?
See, from the point of classical antibaterial therapy basics there is probably no more worst\stupid combo than carbapenem and nitromidazole plus macrolide. But who cares that such a combo will lead to antagonistic action on most of your resident body bacteria. With co-called Lyme and Co all is so difficult\complicated.....isn't it?
Sure if such combo doesn't cured you then according to your "complicated vision" it is better to go Germany for "magic lanterns\flashlights" than to think why that combo didn't help you. (Try to lern what is the principle of Occam's razor....very useful stuf ).

So as you can see, ignorant people are a dime a dozen. Just hit the mute button and move on.

Scorpio, please report the posts when you're criticized. I am only reading the photon threads right now because I want to be here to answer questions, but don't have time to read much of the board. Treating other board members poorly is not allowed, so please report it.
Bluesky, I'm sorry you're feeling worse again. That's what I hated about abx therapy, the ups and downs. You did pilates a while. See if you can do some of the exercises you learned right in your bed. Joe Pilates designed the exercises with rehabilitation in mind and as you know many of them are done lying down. You can still get the concept and benefits within your means.
check the old bionic, PE1 and other photon threads for sixgoofykids, brussels, and 17hens.
i believe there are a few choices available as far as these machines.

Hi! Sorry, I was on vaca, getting some sun and sweet family time and JUST got back!
Yes, I just got back from Dr. W. this past May, so 5 months ago. (Wow, time flies!)
It was great! I'm so glad I went!
Dr. W. has built his own machine. He had one when I was there. No mention of selling it.
I bought the Bionic 880, the machine he created his protocol on, that has the 93% success rate. I am using it to treat my coinfections and to treat my family. I have been very pleased with it.
