I found a place in Southern Cali that follows the Huggins Protocol (not the sedation part).
The Sedation at a different office costs 1800! That office recommends replacing ALL amalgams at the same visit ($7200 total)
I have 31 surfaces on 15 teeth on all 4 quadrants!
The place in SoCal does two separate visits, one side of the mouth first, the other side second (so you can chew). (around $5000 total)
They offer some prescription to basically give you short term amnesia (yikes).
I haven't found out if my insurance will cover any of it yet, I'm typing with my fingers crossed.
I guess I'm looking for some support from people who have gotten better after having amalgams replaced.
I've treated parasites (and continue to) and am hitting babs...still have to hit bart and then go back to Lyme tx.
I know its a long road and I'm not expecting miracles over night, but I'm hoping it's not a waste of money. I don't have a whole lot at the moment, but I have just enough to pay for this protocol.

Hey fyrecracker, could you explain the huggins protocol? I think i am going to get mine replaced too but just doing it at my local dentist. I understand it might have something to do with keeping the heavy metals from going everywhere in your mouth when they are being removed, is this right?

FyreCracker...
I am about to do the same. I am scheduled to begin Oct. 18. My dentist sent in an estimate to Metlife. They show they will pay some...about 60% of total. Metlife is notorious for not always doing what they say, so we will see.
I have no idea what to do to prepare, so I am doing nothing. I thought about chlorella, but have so many stomach problems. I think I may just use charcoal on the day of the procedure.

Jeffinca I will send you the link to their office. What part of CA do you live in?
Tickbiter - The Huggins Protocol (to my knowledge) uses IV vitamin C, Rubber dams, oxygen during procedure, and the updated version includes stuff like acupressure and lymphatic massage and even sedation.
I'll have to dig through where I got the information from for the Huggins Protocol, but I actually had to call them to get referred to dentists.
I chose the west coast because I used to live that way and have lots of friends out there i can stay with.
There are a lot of things you can do to prepare RZR. I've heard DMSA, Chlorella, Chelation, Antibiotics, etc. Good luck to you! I hope they stick to that 60%

Good luck. I think I am stuck with mine for awhile.
My son is in his first year of dental school. The second and third year they need volunteers for their first drilling adventures - maybe that is when Mom will get the amalgams replaced. OMG Sedation sounds good to me.
