Just finished 5 months of bactrim with zith and plaquenil. My creatinine level is always at the top end or just above the cutoff. But, I am a fairly muscular person. The last blood test it topped at 1.54 and the EGFR was low. Doctor attributed this to bactrim. Has anyone else experienced this?

I was told it can affect kidney function but so far I have been able to tolerate it.

Yes, I ended up with high creatinine and low EGFR after 1.5 years on Bactrim....off for six months now, and labs are back to normal.
