I just searched through our archives but could not find what I was looking for....

maybe my bad....

my questions right now:

1) how can I get the magnesium-through-the-skin?

what products are there? are they working for you?

2) if I need the Mg as much as the little bugs, maybe I need to make a compromise and take the risks of biofilms to help my body - but...

is it ok for me to drink the Mg powder? (Product: CALM) with citrate, I think

would that cause biofilms or irritate my gut?

I seem to be able to "go" better with it and I like that effect but hate to aggrevate my gut rather than help it - it feels a little like an aggrevation since I feel things going on right away when I drink the Calm product

not sure if that is good or bad, i.e. if my GI says "Ohhhh - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, we needed that!" or if it says "Oh My God, what is she doing now, as if we don't have enough problems down here"

[Big Grin]

can anyone give me a clue?!?

Help!!! [spinning smile]

1) You could use some "magnesium oil", like so:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004NHN9OA/ref=mp_s_a_3?qid=1318459790&sr=8-3
Note that it's not actually an "oil", it just has an oily consistency.

But I think the best way is to take frequent epsom salt baths, or at least to soak your feet in epsom salt for 15-20 minutes a few times a week. That stuff is like liquid gold.

2) Here's a good recent thread discussing the benefits of different forms of magnesium supplementation (oral vs transdermal):

You are my hero, James!!!! [Big Grin]

I am going to take the epsom salt more seriously now, before I "buy more stuff" he he

I am bout out of mula and the Mg in the epsom slat is already in my cabinet - just need to use it, eh

if I was still rich, I'd buy the books on amazon about the Transdermal Mg Therapy but I think I get the gist

Thanks for the tip!

The magnesium oil from Swansons

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU485/ItemDetail

It's mined from deep underground at the site of the ancient Zechstein Sea in The Netherlands. Naturopathic expert Dr. Barbara Hendel recommends Magnesium oil for daily use. It's non-greasy and absorbs rapidly leaving little residue and no unpleasant scent. Magnesium Oil consists of a supersaturated solution of magnesium chloride and pure water.

It is a good quality brand that really helps. I use it on days when I do not take an epsom salt bath. Just spray it on, wait 20 minutes and shower it off. I really like it.

Faithful... do you have to shower the magnesium oil off? or can you use it after your morning shower? I love the idea of it.

I just tried Magnesium gel on my jaw/TMJ and it worked very well. Used it for a couple of days and brought about 3 hours pain relief each time

I threw away the sample but I know the company has 3 forms of transdermal mag.
