I've wondered for some time whether mercury fillings from childhood might be compromising my immune system or effecting me physically in other ways. I found my way to a Yahoo group called frequent-dose-chelation and decided to buy "Amalgam Illness" and Hair Test Analysis" by Andrew Hall Cutler, a guy who saved himself from mercury poisoning. These books have the best comments on Amazon that I have ever seen but you can buy them for half the price at lymebook.com.

I've purchased a hair test kit and will soon be getting my hair cut and sending it in. If there are problem areas, I will be chelating according to Hall's protocol.

Has anyone else done this protocol? Results?

It's important to use Doctor's Data hair test kit if you are going by Hall's protocol. Info given to me on the Yahoo forum about buying the hair test kit is:

Doctor's Data. Order online through directlabs.com under "order test" and "specialty labs". Order the "hair elements" test NOT the "toxic elements" test. The hair elements measures everything you need including heavy metals.
Use AUT as the coupon code at checkout, and you'll get a discount.

Yes, we did a mixture of Andrew Cutler's program from "Amalgam Illness" and Dr. K's HPU supplements... We did the HPU supplements for 4 months and at the same time we did the AI oral chelation on the weekends.

We significantly reduced our heavy metal load... and mold reared it's ugly head. We are now detoxing for mold... and will return to these two protocols when we are more stable.

May health be with you!

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began.

I am also on that yahoo group and just received the book too. I will start the program in mid November when my last filling is out.
I already ordered my DMSA and it's ready to go.
Did you get your amalgams replaced?

I got my amalgams out a long time ago but looks like the brain does not detox mercury without chelation. I have neuro lyme so....

Another important thing - my hairdresser has a horrible case of candida. After reading AI, I discovered that toxins might be the reason. She said she had had a hair test done and the results were very low toxin levels. Turns out that can be because the body is unable to get rid of them and so they are being accumulated and possible poisoning her.

Where did you get your DMSA? A post I read on the frequent-dose-chelation group said that vrp.com has the best prices and to wait for a sale. They often have sales.

A member of the group said that it would be good to read both of Cutler's books so I am.
