Last night I bent over to pick something up and I had the sensation of when you have had a stuffy nose and it just lets loose, like a waterfall.
I didn't have a tissue so I just cupped my hand under my nose.It felt weird and when I looked, my hand was covered in blood. It bled for a little while, then stopped.
Is this a Lyme, herx, medicine, sinus thing at all or just a freaky incident? I have always had a sinus thing going on, always have a slimy film in mouth and throat, but never really a nosebleed problem.

Both my children and myself had nosebleeds... we moved out of the moldy house on April 16th.
My daughter had one nose bleed since... it came the day she walked back into that house!

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began. Posts: 2007 | From NY/VT Border | Registered: Aug 2010

We have lived in the same house for 15 years and have only had a little nosebleed here and there. Mostly when having allergy/sinus problems and blowing nose alot. Is there a test for mold that I can do myself? We have no money to pay somebody to come in and test.
Thanks for the response though and I will look into a little more.

Inflammed sinuses = weakened tissues/blood vessel walls = more prone to nosebleed (especially with an increase in blood pressure in the nose, such as if stooping over to pick something up off the floor).
Vitamin C must be included in your supplement regimen to decrease inflammation and improve the strength of the blood vessel walls.
Also, if you are taking anything that thins the blood (certain herbs, blood thinning medications such as aspirin or coumadin or sub-cutaneous heparin shots or plavix (etc.), anti-biofilm enzymes (lumbrokinase, nattokinase, etc.), large doses of Vitamin E, etc.) then you would be at greater risk for having a nosebleed.
Also, if you have a bleeding or clotting disorder, sometimes that can play a role in nosebleeds.
Pressing on the "sneeze prevention point" just under the nose (above the upper lip) can sometimes help stop the bleeding if it happens again.
