Anyone taken Alinia want to just talk about their experiences (i.e., not PMd)?

Yeah, about $750 (cash price) for 30 pills at Walmart, I believe.

I started feeling a little better after I started taking it. Not sure if it was because of the Alinia or something else but I think it was because of the Alinia. I took it for about 3 months twice a day. There is a patient assistance program that some people qualify for.

I've taken Alinia for 2 weeks after courses of biltricide, and albentrocide? (don't think that is right)

Herxing was BAD! This was my last parasite cleanse, I think I did it too fast, take it slower

supposedly cleared up parasites, still feel like crap though, must be from one of the other 100 diseases I have

Alinia -

I found this -

Why is this medication prescribed?
Nitazoxanide is used to treat diarrhea in children and adults caused by the protozoa Cryptosporidium or Giardia. Protozoa are suspected as the cause when diarrhea lasts more than 7 days. Nitazoxanide is in a class of medications called antiprotozoal agents. It works by stopping the growth of certain protozoa that cause diarrhea.

---

I guess it's being prescribed for babesia with Lyme treatments.

Some doctor's prescribe it for as long as a year. I never took it - so, I don't know for sure how it helps over time. I don't recall ever seeing anyone say they were dramatically improved by it. Maybe I'm wrong...?

My LLMD said it was for Babs and Parasites. So I am to pulse it 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Hopefully it won't be too bad!
