I can't take it anymore! My vision is not sharp feels like I have a filter over my eyes that softens everything kind of like when you're a little buzzed.
Also this woozy feeling is always present even after 2 yrs of aggressive babs treatment.
I feel like I'm floating off the ground while I'm walking. I'm always spaced out feel like I'm watching a movie and I'm the actor.
When I close my eyes it's even worse I completely float away. Why hasn't this sx disappeared after all this treatment?
I'm currently starting a 3rd round of Coartem followed by Malarone/Biaxin/Art if this doesn't help me I'm throwing in the towel.
I'm willing to accept living this nightmare as is. I've taken enough drugs to kill 10 horses and NOTHING!
I just finished taking a round of Levaquin and NOTHING no change in my mental state?
Why isn't anything working? Why? Someone please help me understand what's causing this feeling.

What have you done for Bartonella? You said a round of Levaquin, which is for how long? Do you have any other bart symptoms?
Bart affects my eyes and my balance, so I wonder if that could be the cause for you.
It also affects my moods, my joints, frontal headaches, makes me very tired.

I just finished a round of Levaquin for good measures just to be sure.
I don't have any bart sx and treated bart extensively and test negative on Igenex FISH.

Sounds like you still have babesia. Have you done mepron and zith, or zith and artemisinin?? or clindamycin and quinine?

Hey been. I know we've sent a few emails back and forth. I have the same exact symptoms and I also have done every med on the face of the planet, IV and otherwise. I have been treating for about 2 1/2 years.
I did a week of Tindamax with antiparasitics. I know that some people on here swear by treating parasites. I am beginning to think this is my next step. I believe the antiparasitics are helping me even though I've only done it a short time.
Also Dr. K is treating all his patients with heavy duty antiparsitics like Ivermectin (hope I got that right). He is having great results.
I have been reading medical journals about parasites and how they carry these bacteria.
Well, I've made a vow to stop obsessing about this and trust God, but I'm very excited about the idea of using these types of treatments - natural and pharmaceutical. I've had good results with natural and Tindamax.

I sure do feel for you. It sounds like babesia is still there but I don't know why it is not responding.
How long have you been taking the malarone combo? I did five months of mepron/zithro and then five months of malarone.
I did six rounds of coartem and quit the malarone the day before I started the coartem and started it again the day after. You need to take a longer break with the zithro.
You just have to be persistent. I thought I would never get over it and then suddenly it was dormant.
i don't think it is gone - probably just taking a breather - but I have no symptoms now except an occasional very mild hot flash.

Did the "drunk" feeling in your head go way after using Tindamax? Anti-parasitics may be my next move also I'll discuses this at my next appt.
@nefferdun,
I took malarone once before for a month and felt like it wasn't doing much so I switched back to Mepron/Zith/Art combo
BTW, this will be my first time doing malarone after coartem. The only thing that coartem is doing for me in the past is it's giving me more energy. The head sx is always there!
Did you have neurological sx? The "dizzy, tipsy spacey" feeling, did you have that feeling? Kinda like you're walking on clouds or you're buzzed?

Been. I'll post again in about a month. For the moment I'm doing IV Clindamycin so I'm am still feeling pretty drunk (smashed in fact) and feel like I'm floating.
I will stop the IVs in just over a week. At that time I'll attempt the Tinda and the natural anti parasitic herbs. Yes, I did feel less spaced out, but I really don't know if it would last. I need to stick with it a while. I felt better than I had felt in a long time.
I also just bought a sauna. I'm hoping that will help with detox.
