I know it is 24 pills over 3 days.
But what is the timing? I heard you take 4 every 8 hours the first day (12 total), and then every 12 hours after. So that means 3 every 12 hours thereafter?
Or is it: First day, 4 in the am, 4 8 hours later, then 4 every 12 hours afterwards?
What is the proper timing?

It is online for malaria and most people are following that. You take 4 pills, then 8 hours later 4 more, then every 12 hours take 4 more until finished.

How many times a month do you do this? Is it once a month or twice?

I think most doctors recommend taking it once a month. I did 6 rounds about 3 weeks apart, but that was just me because I had free rein to do what I wanted.
It is important to quit zithro 3-4 days before and after because they both can increase the QT (something to do with the heart) and zithro stays in the blood 3 days.
Anti-malarial drugs should not be taken together but they don't inter-react. I took malarone the day before and the day after the coartem. I was more cautious the first round taking a few drug free days, but it seemed to give the babesia a chance to recover, so after that I didn't take a break from the anti-malarials.

My dr. had my 2 rounds of 7 days 2 weeks apart with doxy and rifampin. 2 times a day. I don't think anyone really knows how to use it for babs.
