Is there a way to permanently eliminate the herpes virus that causes cold sores? I'm thinking that they weaken the immune system but maybe not too much??? Don't know.
Researched Nutritionals has a product. Has anyone tried it?

I don't think lysine gets rid of the phenomena of cold sores permanently but rather is for use as you get a cold sore.

Valtrex (Rx antiviral).
Valcyte is even stronger, but Valtrex usually works for Herpes Simplex virus.
Some meds cause this side effect, too. My husband could not take Malarone because of mouth sores.
