I was diagnosed with lyme disease in January of 2010 but have had it for a while longer. This past Friday we found out we are pregnant with our 5th child. We were not trying so this is unexpected. I am nervous and scared about the baby. Since my cycles have been messed up due to lyme I am not quite sure how far along I am. Anyways, I just wanted to see if anyone else has been pregnant with lyme disease

Are your children showing signs of lyme disease? How old are they?

My daughter is seven months. I was on abx during my pregnancy. There is some good info from the lyme conference on pregnancy that you should read. If you have any questions you can p.m. me.

I sent you a pm. Dr. J., the best Lyme pediatrician, has a protocol for pregnant women with Lyme which can be followed with your own doctor.

I'm pregnant now with my second child and am treating the lyme with abx...omnicef and zith as already mentioned. I am 17 weeks today.

I also tested positive recently for babesia and the "fry bug".

I was a nervous wreck when I found out! But things appear to be going well thus far and I actually feel great.

The way I see it is that my worrying isn't going to help me or the baby and it won't change a darn thing. I'm eating well, exercising when I can and taking the meds prescribed to me.

There isn't much else we can do. Oh...and I pray!

My older son is also being treated for lyme and my doc thinks I may have given it to him but I'm not really so sure.

Good luck though and keep us posted!
