So ive have lyme on and off for about 4 years. About 2 years ago i noticed 2 swollen lymph nodes. they never went away. in june my lymes came back then got put on meds then in august got tested again and lymes was still positive. Since those 2 nodes that i found 2 years ago, about 2 more have grown since august. and i woke up this morning with another small one! all in my neck area. i started worrying about lymphoma and saw a hematologist and he wasnt worried about lymphoma because they were swollen but small and ive had them for awhile he said and my CBC was normal. I just got tested for lymes and it says the ELISA is positive but Western Blot is negative now. does that mean lymes is gone?!?!? why do i have these lymph nodes still?!?! help im so scared. could it be because of lymes or something else?! im so scared please help Posts: 6 | From New Jersey | Registered: Sep 2011

Sounds like you need to get a proper diagnosis by an LLMD. The swollen lymph nodes can be indicative of an infection like bartonella which ia a co-infection of Lyme.
Go to seeking a doctor section and see if you can find an LLMD in your area.

I wouldn't get too worried about lymphoma. Lyme and coinfections cause swollen lymph nodes. See a LLMD, and get an Igenex Western Blot. If you need a referral, I have seen LLMD's in South Jersey and in Northern Jersey. You can PM me.

I would agree with the bartonella diagnosis. We've dealt with this before and usually means that your lymph glands are being a little overwhelmed with the die off. Make sure that you are using good detox like pekana drainage kit or red root that assists with the drainage of lymph nodes.

Scooter, Stop palpating the swollen lymph nodes. The more you press on them, the longer they will stay swollen.
I checked your previous posts, three since Sept. 29. Did you look at the responses you got?
Muscle twitches are symptomatic of low magnesium. Lyme bacteria use up the magnesium in our nerve cells, which causes many problems. You need to supplement with a good mag, NOT magnesium oxide.
Anxiety is another symptom of low magnesium. I think you'll feel better and be able to handle problems easier after you start magnesium.
If your doc won't give you more antibiotics, look into taking cat's claw for your immune system. This herb stimulates the white blood cells to phage, or eat, bacteria in the bloodstream.
This is the best brand that I know of, but you can get better prices at iherb.com and at herbspro.com.

I have on an icy hot patch on the back of my neck with swollen glands. Restarted antibiotics last month, have bart. My neck is loaded. Hoping they go down soon. They will. Have it checked. Been through this game long enough to question lumps, pains, brain. You'll feel better once you know from a doc.

I've had Lyme disease for a very long time. At the very least 10 years before being diagnosed. I keep swollen lymph nodes in my neck. So does one of my kids (all three of my kids have LD)
My Lyme doctor isn't concerned. I've been on treatment 4 years so far and sometimes they go down, and sometimes they are swollen. I usually have at least one swollen at any given time.
No..it is unlikely that your Lyme is gone. I think you should see an LLMD and stay on treatment. I would.

You can also soak in an epsom salts bath or apply magnesium oil.
You have enough when your symptoms get better! Actually, you'll likely need to supplement for a long time.

Also...the lymph node swelling and the muscle twitches seem to be the last things to go away for me. I think it's Bartonella related although I've always tested neg. for Bart.

Your swollen lymph nodes are just like mine.
When I first got sick I woke up one morning and had lumps (half a tennis ball size) in the inside of my both elbows and knees!
I was so scared went to a Cancer doc and he said it's not cancer but since then I've tried to get rid of these but they are still there!
They have gotten smaller with treatment but I've never been able to get rid of them, which means the infection is still hanging out.
I think it can be either Lyme or Bart. It can be other infections too or Lymphoma but like the Hematologist said it's unlikely. I also went to one and wanted to do a CAT scan but he said it's probably not cancer.
Do you have a trampoline? I jump up and down 2 or 3 times a day about a few minutes each time. That def. helps and also dry brushing and the epsome baths.
Also CarolinPA mentioned Mag Oil. I have really low blood pressure and can't take Mag. so I rub the Mag. Oil in the bottom of my feet and it makes me really calm.
Anyways, try to get more excercise and do the detox stuff that should help.
