Topic: I'm itching like crazy! Ears are itchy and hot. Yikes!

I don't know if I'm having an allergic reaction, but I started cottage cheese/flax oil a few days ago and now I'm itching my head off. It feels like a hot flash sort of.
Right around the edge of my scalp around the hair line it itches. Then my ears itch and feel hot. My forehead & along my jaw bones itch itch itch. Cheeks & neck itchy. Arms itchy.....upper back. Give me a scratching post!
I even have itchy eyes! This almost feels like a reaction to cat dander, since I'm very allergic. I take allergy shots weekly.
Has anyone ever had a reaction such as this or taken the flax oil/cottage cheese combo?

I've been eating dairy all along..... It's organic cottage cheese. I bet it's the flax oil.

Flax oil is one of the things that makes me itchy.

RubyJ: Really? Flax oil makes you itchy? Do you think it could be a herx-like reaction? Maybe we are allergic to it. I think I'll reduce the amount and see what happens.
This scalp is what is driving me crazy. The same thing happens when I take black walnut/wormwood. I get the itchy, oily scalp.

There is a risk of an allergic reaction to flax seed oil, and also interactions with other medications.
If it were me, I would not take any more and also take some benedryl. The possibility of an allergic reaction is listed if you google flax seed oil side effects.

glm1111: Yes, I just read that it could be a possible reaction. Bad thing is that since I've been taking it, yesterday I was super-mega-active with energy to spare and got up this morning NOT tired.
I'll lay off a day or 2 & maybe go back on a really small dose.
