I first took the Origins magnesium 250 mg. that I got from Target. I didn't like these because they started to dissolve before I could swallow them. Then I went with the Mag-Tab SR and took two a day. I am wondering if two a day is enough....should I be taking four? If so, this is becoming pricy, plus, I have to order it through the pharmacy. The bottle states each tablet has 84 mg. of elemental magnesium L-lactate dihydrate. Are these two magnesiums even comparable? What dose should I be taking?

I was told any form of chelated magnesium should work fine. I take Natural Factors Magnesium Citrate 150mg tabs.. It's inexpensive and works great for me. I will take two to three per day along with CoQ10.. They say if you are unsure about dose you can try taking it to bowel tolerance. The body excretes what is does not use.

My body seems to absorb it better than most of the other magnesium types I have tried

Can any of these be found at my local Vitamin Shoppe or Target? Also, how many tabs do you take a day?
