It looks like Labcorp has test 012542 for HLA.
Does anyone know what all this tests covers? ie biotoxins info from other diseases/exposres? Or is it "just" for LD and mold?
It is PCR test - so one must be off Abx? How long?
Other tests?
DRB1 1501 HLA Dr4 and B27 are separate/similar tests?
C3a and C4a?
MSH, VEGF, Leptin?
Thanks so much any help on how to pursue these types of tests.

I looked up on Labcorp for test 012542 for HLA and it said there was no such test...maybe I was searching wrong.....

Do these results come under the umbrella of the 5-part HLA test from Labcorp ie code 012542?
I have read where folks have ordered the wrong tests. I obviously don't want to do that - nor want anyone to either.

I am no authority on this, so take it with a huge grain of salt please.
I have heard that the HLA DR4 test is the key one for the ability to detoxify, which is so badly needed with Lyme. There are 2 of these genes. I can't remember if not having them is bad, or if having them is bad. I think I remember that having one makes detox harder and having both of them makes it all but impossible, but I may be remembering that wrong.
If I remember correctly from 26 yrs. ago, when docs were trying to figure out what I had, the HLA-B27 is the test for Ankylosing Spondylitis. Unless you have symptoms of that disease don't bother ordering it. It has no relation to Lyme.

I beg to differ on the HLA B2701. Yes, it is related to ankylosing spondilitis, but it isn't so much of a predisposition genetically as it more related to a response to certain infections resulting in ankylosing spondylitis, as well as the relation to uveitis, AND connective tissue diseases.
The genetic contribution or relation has to do with the specific formation of antibodies and the response of the T cells in the body. BUT, in those diseases associated with this particular HLA type, not all with ankylosing spondylitis et al, have the HLA B2701 genetic marker, there is just a higher correlation to it. So without a 100% correlation, they are looking into "other explanations". And what they are finding is that this particular marker has something to do with the response of the T cells in correlation with certain bacterial infections. One of the biggies is Klebsiella and other enterics in which a certain toxin is produced.
So HLA B2701 is not an irrelevant test in light of response to toxin forming bacteria and your complement immune response. And just because we have Lyme doesn't mean there aren't others alongside it. How many also have mycoplasma/Cpn infections, and others? And a supposed relation to Lyme, is that Lyme is also a toxin forming infection. Lyme also seems to result in related arthritic changes and manifestations that would directly relate to this particular HLA type and response of the immune system.

Which labs to use for testing?
Labcorp appears to do the tests - theirs is a 5-part. What about Quest? Theirs is 2-part? One better than the other? Quest does the other tests ie C3a etc?
