Nonna it takes time. Yes, this is a bad one, but I don't think any of them are a picnic.

I don't think I had my first herx until 5 weeks of babs meds. Just be sure to drink LOTS of water. [Smile]

any other info????
Babesia..feels like, what symptoms, I have so many things that rotate in my system I never know...and I'm sure if I talked to my old doc he'd say it was fibro and CFS......

..what a mess,,,,I just want to be able to go through the mail, pay bills, go to store ,and send a package of Love to my triplet grand-daughter's..

. Overwhelms me in a nano second. Here I lay , even awake can't seem to do much even from bed.

Everybody stay away from steroids, it just took this to a whole other level...

Nonna, if you click on Burrascano's guidelines, I believe he describes some babs symptoms. He also says not to take steroids (I did the same thing though, so don't feel bad). Hang in there [Smile]

Swimmer, lots of water is absolutely necessary with antibiotics good for detoxing, saves your organs from all the meds too). You might also want to check out Burrascano's Lyme Guidelines, 16th edition full of great info about lyme and co infections, meds and more). You can google it, or find it on the top line of medical questions on this website.

Zith is good for many parasites but the reason mepron is required for Babs is the babesia parasites secrete a coating within the red blood cell which protects them.

The mepron breaks the coating and the zith is then able to attack the parasite.

Yes, Babesia causes swallowing problems. Do not eat or drink too fast.

Doesn't hurt to see a GI to rule out other problems. My LLMD had suggested that to me. They really don't want to miss anything. Not everything is attributable to lyme & co.
