My brain fog has become significantly worse in the last few weeks, to the point where it has become disabling. I feel dizzy, drunk, disconnected and can only do the most basic things. I thought I was past this, since it was an original symptom and had gradually gone away to the point where I started to socialize and felt optimistic about my ability to stay in work(technical job, requires high level cognitive funcioning). This optimism has evaporated and in its place I have crushing depression, panic attacks and sweats that appear out of nowhere. I'm taking Klonopin for the anxiety and Zoloft for the depression--and am just about able to cope without completely freaking out. But what can I take to clear my head? I see Aricept has been mentioned as well as Huperzine. Has anyone tried either of these and found them to be effective? I need something that will work instantly, if possible, so that people at work don't wonder what on earth has happened to me. BTW, being treated with Zith and Malarone(doc thinks this is all Babs). I believe this is Bart. as it's emerged during Babs treatment. Apart from some stiffness in neck, back and fingers, no other symptoms. Sue

The only thing that really helped me was IV Glutathione. I take Glute pills in between to help supplement. Can you ask your LLMD to prescribe some.

Thanks. My LLMD isn't that type of doctor, though I am in the process of switching. Is there an oral form that might be effective? I've seem some kind of whey protein advertised. Sue

I'd guess you have both, because of your location AND your symptoms.

Would your doctor consider treating you for both infections at the same time and see how you do?
When you treat one infection, the other rears its head. Treating both at the same time really worked for me.
I was on mepron, zith, and bactrim and quickly made remarkable progress, although I know many find this treatment difficult.

My brain fog, dizzyness, confusion, dyslexia were all because of the mold that was hidden in our walls.
Moving out was the first step in healing for me and my family.
I also have lyme, bartonella & babesia... but the mold was what was allowing these other infections to go deeper. Some molds are immune suppressants.

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began. Posts: 2007 | From NY/VT Border | Registered: Aug 2010
