What meds are used for mycoplasma pneumonia?

I have dealt with coughing for over a year now....thought it was babs. However, I tested positive for mycoplasma pneumonia.

Cough has been more frequent and worse lately. C Could these new meds be causing this...amoxicillin or A-Bart?

[confused]

Check out www.immed.org

Lots of great information on there.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycoplasma_pneumonia

Second generation macrolide antibiotics (e.g. erythromycin), doxycycline and second generation quinolones are effective treatments.

I can tell you from personal experience that it takes a loooooooooooooooong time to get rid of it.

Yes, according to http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/B008045044X002194

"...The second-generation macrolides, clarithromycin and azithromycin, are derived from erythromycin, and have a broader spectrum of activity and improved pharmacokinetic properties."

usually doxycycline is used for m pneumonia - and for a long time . I have also read a lot of CFS posts that say they found artemesia annua helped knock it out . It is common with CFS and lyme both .
Artemesia is a herb that hits a wide swath of pathogens .

Have you tried rifing for it? I know the frequencies are posted somewhere on the rife thread. I think Juli has had great success rifing for myco, so you may want to ask her what frequencies she uses....
