My daughter did Dr. K's 6 week protocol. Well all except the last 2 weeks because the Alinia made her sick.

All in all she did not have any trouble on it. Did not see anything visible..

Don't know if it helped much but Im glad we did it as there is one more thing we can take off the table.

How ill you get really depends on if you have a parasite problem. If it's bad, you will probably get pretty ill. I've been working on this for 2 years now & I'm still going through it.

If someone gets ill on a particular drug or herb - it can indicate that there's a problem there. It's called provoking a response. In my experience, I think it works & it's a pretty accurate indicator of a problem. Like if Deb says her daughter gets ill from Alania - chances are that she may have a blood parasite like babesia. That's what Alania addresses, I believe.

It's really an individual thing. If you are worried about being ill on the holidays - you may want to wait. Or you could try it & see if you start getting ill & cut back a few days prior...

Once you do this - it really opens up a whole realm of stuff. It can take years to get rid of them. So, it's a process. If it doesn't bother you - consider yourself lucky! Everyone is different, though.

Good luck!

Hi Anuta --

Yes, I did Dr. K's protocol. I should say that I muscle tested as not needing one of the meds, so mine only ended up being 5 weeks. (I did the Biltricide, Pyrantal Pamoate/Ivermectin, and Alinia).

FOr most of it, I was fine -- I felt mildly more ill, and could tell something was happening, but nothing major.

However, I did have a major response to the Alinia. My doctor had prepared me that this particular part of it may be challenging, since it can increase neurological issues, which is a main challenging area for me. Unfortunately, it was much more challenging than we had hoped, but I was somewhat prepared.

My doctor said that most people begin to feel it on day 3-4 of the Alinia. I began to feel it on day 9. Things didn't get really severe until the very end though, and most severe actually a few days after the protocol ended.

It's hard for me to type much right now, but I recently posted about this here: http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/112624#000007

FOr me, the reaction was from Babesia, not as much of the parasites, but I'm sure it's all related on some level.

Alinia crosses the blood brain barrier, so it gets very deep.

One thing I will say is that my doctor's office (which is at Dr. K's clinic) is incredibly clear that it is a requirement to do LOTS of detox during the protocol. THis really is tremendously important.

They had me regularly having colonics and lymph massage prior, but during the protocol they wanted me to have a colonic atleast once a week, a lymph massage once a week, and enemas in between. This is in addition to the usual things I take for detox.

As Sparkle put so well, the meds you respond to will depend on your areas of need. Some people really react to the Ivermectin -- I didn't really. For me, I noticed a mild response tot he Biltricide, but certainly not as severe as the Alinia.

I really wish you the best of luck. I'll be really interested to hear how it goes for you and am glad you are doing this -- it makes such a difference for many people. Best wishes!

Thanks to all of you!!! I hope that I will not get too sick. I'm presently on Parastroy and salt/C and I only had slight symptoms increase the first week I started to take it. But I definitely have Babesia, so wish me luck!
