Hello allm i wanted to share with you this new workout program i have begun. I have been having problems for yearsnwith my back and hips going out of place for years now, which has resulted in countless trips to my pcp who also does chiropractic work to pop me back into place.

Whether this is a result from the LD, i dont know. I believe the joint pain and not doing too much physical activity has made my muscles very weak resulting in bone pain. Always walking crooked due to my hips being put of line therefore causing my whole spine to follow.

On my last visit to my pcp, he suggested i see a local exercise physiologist. I wasnt sure what that was at first, but later found out henis sort of like a physical therapist who studied how different forms of excercise help people with chronic illnesses.

He treats people that have many different diseases, MS, CFS, dementia, heart disease, etc.

On my first visit, i explained to him that i had lyme disease. He not only already knew about the disease and its affect on ones body, but was treating a woman my age and i actually got to meet her that day and got her number to meet up and talk to her about it. (this is the first time i met someone in real life that is, that is my age, that has ld.

Ive been seeing him for about two weeks now, and he is amazing. Never pushes me to do anything that hurts. I do a very light workout, but already feel such a difference in my back and hips. My knees still kill me, but think thats a given.

If anyone ever gets a chance to see an exercise physiologist, i highly recommend one! That is if your well enough to do a light workout. Now of course, im in a better state of mind, not so down from being in excrutiating pain.

Just wanted to share...

Oh and this guy is an ex football player to my fav NFL team, so thats pretty cool too! Even lets me bring my kids and lets them play around so i can see him more often since i have my kids the majority of the time.

K, ill quit babbling, im just so excited bout this and wantednyou all to knownthere is someone out there who can help! Have a good day

I'm so glad you found a good exercise physiologist.

Not ALL are so educated, though. I had a terrible experience with one, and other P.T.s - but, in my state, no health professional knows anything about lyme. THAT makes a world of difference, one who is lyme literate.

Wonder if yours is familiar with Dr. B's P.T. & Rehabilitation suggestions? Still, it seems that he understands and is listening to YOUR needs. That's the first step.

I hope you enjoy all your sessions as he sounds like he creates a good environment, too.
