I have been on doxy for about 4 weeks now. Last week I had flu-like symptoms: body aches, sore to touch, headache and sore neck. Last Saturday was the worst--really bad headache, neck ache and major headache. I was sick for about a week with blocked ears, throat hurt and stuffy nose. Now, my 'cold' 'flu'-like symptoms are gone. I now just have a sore neck and shoulder. Could this be considered just a symptom of Lyme or could it still be the herxheimer reaction? Also, these symptoms also coincided with my menstruation cycle. Thank you for your input.

It can be the lyme symptoms or a herx.

Since you started doxy four weeks ago it could very well be a herx.

Sometimes it's just a guessing game.
