I had read previous posts on here saying that you can't get a cold when you have Lyme. Well... I have a cold.

I'm wondering what's going on. Have others with Lyme gotten a cold? Or does this mean that I'm getting better?

I actually had two really good weeks - the best I've felt since starting treatment. Then I had a pretty big setback, and a few days later I got the cold. Not sure if the setback was related to the cold coming on, or just one of those things. Either way, it's discouraging.

Thanks for your help.

I don't really know what people mean about "not getting colds", etc. It didn't really make sense to me.

There's a bad cold/flu going around. I was ill for a couple of weeks with it. Not fun on top of everything else... I know some other people who have had it, too.

Just keep in mind that the treatment is a process. You just have to keep going forward as best as you can.

Drink plenty of fluids.

I didn't get a cold for 2-3 years, I'd estimate, before I started treating seriously.

I think it's safe to say that you can get a cold even with lyme. Maybe try some liquid astragulus.

It knocked my cold out within a few days a couple of weeks ago. Usually when I get it, I stay sick for a month or so. It was gone within a week this time.

Thanks, everyone. I'm starting to feel better. Haven't heard of astragulus - will have to look into it. Sparkle, thanks for the words of encouragement - they really helped!
