I am so confused right now. my LLMD called today

to let me know about my newest lab results. He

side me positve lyme bands went down to 1, but

that it doesn't really mean much. we will

continue to treat until symptoms go away. But my

Lupus indicators are still positve (10) but my

ANA was negative. Does anyone else have

antthing like this...what is going on???

Before I went to a LLMD I saw a rheumy and

already knew the ds dna was 10 but I had a

positive ana too...I just don't have symptoms of

lupus.

What is ds DNA?

Bands mean little during treatment. Like your doctor said, treat until your SYMPTOMS go away.

The ANA may stay high until you are finished with your Lyme treatment.

I have both a positive ANA and dsDNA and originally had no Lupus symptoms either.

Now I have more Lupus symptoms than Lyme. I am CDC positive for Lyme and Erlichia.

I am probably just as confused as you are and can't seem to get any firm answers either.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I feel like I am just a sitting duck waiting for the lupus next!!!! I was feeling really good. then this week my body hurts again. I am really hoping it's from the new abx I started last week. I am feeling very discouraged but I am going to try to focus on the good days that have been out numbering the bad recently. The DsNA is a marker for lupus. [Frown]

I've been tested 5 times now for the dsDNA and just got my results back yesterday. Positive again. Has been all 5 times now.

I'm still having trouble accepting that.......

You could be hurting this week from starting the new abx. I find that I am extremely sensitive to all meds now. I have to take everything in very small doses.

the ONLY symptom of lupus that I have is joint pain. After lyme treatmen for about a month or so it almost all went away. After adding zmax it ALL went away...then it all came back I just don't know if it is a 'lupus flare' or not. I am totally discouraged about lyme and I want to eat all the sugar in the world. I'm angry.and mostly depressed. I am not bein nice to my kids. I am in pain and I see no end. I am a mess today.
