When do you know? Once he has started the IV drugs, does he start showing improvement either way? Thats a constant nagging fear.

If he starts getting sick and has severe joint pain...etc. It's a good sign it is lyme disease. With ALS the majority of the time the patient fells nothing...many different symptoms between lyme and ALs...pain is one...pain is seen in lyme more than ALs. ALS is the die off of motor neurons.
