We saw an LLMD on November 13th for our 12 year old daughter. She was diagnosed with Bartanella and Lymes and started on Zithromax and Bactrim. We really saw an improvement and actually had hopes of her going back to school soon till this week. She has slid right back into the constant sleeping, body aches etc. So is this a Herx reaction? Or does she need her meds adjusted? I know the doctor wanted to start her on a 3rd abx soon.

Thoughts?

Zith and bactrim don't really hit lyme.

Your daughter could be having a herx, or the lyme symptoms are coming out as the bartonella is being treated.

Bactrim definitely hits bart and some say Lyme.

We herx every 3-5 wks so she could be herxing from that cycle or... just the daily thing. You can herx anytime.
