I want to try and boost my immune system so I started the Myer's cocktails through my PICC again. I did one last week and was ok. This time I literally drug myself to bed immediately after it, I was beyond exhausted and my whole body was shaking and freezing. I have been able to get up now, but am having severe nausea.

I did them last year in the winter and I can remember the next day being very tired, but nothing this instant.

Any chance of herxing from these?

I never had that reaction while doing myers cocktails, but it could be a herx. I don't think you can take too much vit C but maybe you got too much of the other vitamins? How are you feeling today? Hope you are better.

If you react to sulphur, you may be having a problem with the glutathione. If you have methylations issues with Vit. B's and the way the body needs to convert them, that could be an issue also.

I'm scratching at the surface on learning more about these reactions myself. I've been having problems also recently. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will come along and shed further light.

Right now I've been avoid all sulphur supps (glutathione, chlorella, alpha lipoic acid, NAC, etc. etc.) And when I'm in a very sensitive state, I even need to avoid foods with sulphur (garlic, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. etc. it's a long list.)

Since my body was very stressed after crashing while taking Alinia for parasites, I've been very reactive to sulphur and B vitamins, injections, and IVs.

Good luck.

My llmd said the reaction is from the glutithione. She said it is a very strong detox reaction.

I feel bad after for about two days then I clear up. The whites of my eyes are almost all white again.

I had a really hard time with iv antibiotics until i started Meyers and glutithione.

I am not sure about the allergy sensitivity aspect but my md is very big on allergy and immune modulation. She told me not to take anything fermented ex kombucha, stay away from any yeast ex saccharomyces boulardii and mushrooms.

She said most of her patients are sensitive to yeast mushrooms anything fermented and your bodies own histamine.

If you are not use to them, they can be hard at first. They are on me if I haven't done them for a while.

Staying very very hydrated helped me along with eating something prior. My doc told me that the IV is somewhat purposely overdosing you with vitamins. I'll feel sick sometimes when I am not urinating afterwards.

My fiance did the Myers/vit C once a month for 7 months. He always felt pretty miserable afterwards for a day or two. After 5 months, he started getting much worse for about a week following these IVs.

LLMD finally stopped doing them after the 7 months because they weren't making him any better, just worse. Never quite figured out why... Other patients we've talked to said they feel much better after these drips and my fiance just never saw that outcome.

Thank you Tammy, for your mention of sulphur. He is very allergic to sulpha products, so perhaps this is the reason he couldn't tolerate this stuff.

Thank you all for your responses. I do Glutathione injections into my PICC too without issues like this? My LLMD and I can't quite figure out what it could be. It was such a severe response I am going to call the company and just make sure there hasn't been others with issues. Have no plans to continue them though, that was awful, too bad I have 2 more IV's sitting here, pricey to just throw away [Frown]

Tammy,

Can you tell us more about the sulphur thing. On my metagenix testing it said I had no amino acids and should take NAC and/or glutathione.

So what does someone do if deficient in these things like me but intolerant to sulphur since we need the amino acids and glutathione?
