On page 6 of this PDF ^^ there is a diagram to make your own foot bath. I have bought all the components, and am a little afraid to try it.
Anyone try this?
My husband thinks I am going to electrify myself trying. I would love some opinions... or experiences with this setup.
The whole thing cost around $10

somebody told me to use mustard powder and chile powder in warm to medium hot water.
can't remember the exact measurements tho.
i'd stick with the epsom salts baths. or just buy a few of those foot detox pads if you wnated to try those.

Normally, I try to research from many different sources but I just have to go with my instincts here.
I would not do it. [Even after I figured out that that battery is to say OUTSIDE of the water.]
I'm concerned that even mild voltage is too much for someone with adrenal exhaustion.
Most lyme patients have "fried" adrenals and are already too "wired" so that's a huge consideration.
I did mild stimulation with some PT equipment with electrodes to help reduce pain a couple times, and a couple tries of electric acupuncture - all mild - but each time, it really set me back months.
Dr. B in his treatment guidelines, clearly states in the section about Physical Therapy:
"NO electrical stim" (as in the electrical stimulation methods I had tried before I knew).

Just using epsom salts in the foot bath is very helpful but not so much as drawing toxins out of the feet as getting in magnesium so that the body can better detoxify itself.
I really don't think the feet detox much, anyway. Oh, some, but the the major organs that metabolize waste are the liver, kidneys and skin.
The amount of skin on the feet is not going to detox in a huge way as most of the toxins have to go through the complex processes in the liver and kidneys.
The skin sweats out some toxins, of course, so even a hot foot bath will get all the skin involved a bit too.
(But a hot bath is usually never a good idea for someone very ill with weak adrenals. WARM bath in epsom salts will help the body sweat enough.)
BREATHING also helps moves out toxins. Rhythmic deep belly breathing.
WALKING, or any gentle exercise, is a far better way to help the body move out toxins than a battery acid foot bath (in my opinion).
REBOUNDING. Gently (barely) bouncing on a mini trampoline helps move lymph gunk on out through the body so that it can be managed by the organs of detoxification.
Massage, too, is a fabulous help and usually feel nice, too, with the right technique.
Ask your husband to massage your feet, that gets stuff moving on up through your body and can then be filtered trough the liver and kidneys. -

It works and works well in my experience. I use to prefer hooking it up to my zapper but now I prefer the 9 volt battery.
Only need a pinch of salt. Too much is uncomfortable. In general, you won't really feel anything.

Heather, The author of the article you posted is totally reliable and one of the best people around. He knows his stuff. He is also very respected by Dr. K. I have known RL for many years and would trust what he says.
Take care.
