Could my husband have parasites if he has lyme, without co-infections? His LLMD said since he doesn't have babesia, he probably doesn't have parasites.

It is estimnated that over 90% of the population has parasites, and someone with Lyme disease is even more susceptible. Most docs don't have a clue about parasites incl LLMDs.
Dr. K. treats ALL of his patients for parasites. You might want to consider having your husband try one of the antiparasitic herbs like Parastroy to see if he has any reactions. Google parasite symptoms as well.
