Does anyone else have this problem? Does the lyme cause this?

Right now i'm taking 50,000 units once a week, I've been doing that for about six weeks, I have six more weeks to go. I also take an additional 4 thousand daily, plus calsuim. Have not noticed much changes.

Any thoughts on this?

very common for lyme patients, as well as general population, to be low on vit-d. a number of lymies have extremely low vit d. My non-lyme doc said mine was lowest he had ever seen.

My D was very low too, even though I took multivitamins and 800 units of D3. It took me six or seven months of 5000 units per day to get it up to 40. I think lyme eats everything first, and we get what's leftover, if anything.

I am going to start supplementing with almost everything Burrascano recommends in is protocol. I just have to figure out when to take it. [Smile]

I am D deficient also. Take 50,000 IU's/week. Broke my foot several times due to the deficiency and I think I have a bone bruise in my lower leg now. I get kidney stones often also, so i can't take calcium!

Most people with lyme feel better supplementing D3. I guess if you suffer from sarcoidosis, you profit from low vit D (marshal protocol). What I read here durign the years, most people prefer to keep on supplementing with D3.

I do supplement even today, without lyme, and I do see the big difference for not catching colds in winter. My daughter too, it is very clear how this affects our immune system.

We only take very few supplements, now that lyme is gone, but vit D we take for 2 reasons: not to catch colds and to avoid relapsing again from lyme in winter. Mostly in winter, it's the time when we relapse from lyme.
