I have often read posts about people having to duke it out with their insurance companies to cover tests or prescription costs.
Well I'm here to tell you I am now included in that group of people.
LLMD prescribed me Zithromax, pharmacy told me they would only cover 8 days worth. I took that and figured it would be resolved Monday byt a simple call to insurance company.
Boy ways I wrong!! They told me they would only cover 8 days at a time and would have to go to pharmacy every 8 days and pay copay each time. Well do you realize how expensive that would be!!
After many calls back and forth between dr's office, pharmacy and insurance company, it finally go resolved and they approved a 30 day supply. But she was quick to tell me, only 30 days. If you need more, we wil have to start he whole process over again.
JERKS! Do they not realize we have enough to go through in a day to day life without the hassle of fighting for our meds.
Sorry! I'm venting... but can at least say I won the battle for now!!
I feel so bad for ayone who goes through this all the time, like I said this was my first time. Seems like it has something to do with Zithro where many people aren't prescribed that any longer than a week.
